Bridges for Families
Bridges was created around a simple reality: children in crisis need more than services. They need somewhere safe to land. Today Bridges supports dozens of families and more than one hundred children through host homes, case management, advocacy, clinical support and practical intervention.
What Bridges Does

Host homes
Carefully selected families who take in a child in crisis while our team works with the child and the family of origin.
Case management
One professional who owns the whole picture: school, housing, benefits, documents, medical care and family dynamics.
Clinical support
Therapy and emotional support arranged and coordinated around each child's actual situation.
Advocacy
Standing with families in front of schools, agencies, courts and systems that are difficult to navigate alone.
Practical intervention
Transportation, employment, identification, insurance — the ordinary logistics that quietly block progress.
Long-term planning
Caring adults helping each child build a realistic plan for what comes next, and staying with them through it.
What We've Learned
Problems in a child's life do not stay in one lane
A housing problem becomes a school problem.
A family crisis becomes an emotional crisis.
A transportation problem becomes a job problem.
A missing identification card can stop a young adult from opening a bank account, getting insurance, or moving forward with basic parts of life.
A girl may be bright, capable, motivated and ready to change her life while still being completely unable to do it alone. Bridges exists to stand in that gap.
